MSH FAQ's

Martial Arts, not just another sport, a way of life!

Question 1

How do I get started? Can I start anytime?

We offer those interested in our programs an enrollment conference with an introductory lesson. This gives our potential client a chance to train in our facility and see how they like our team of instructors and students. We integrate new students into the proper classes. Experience a higher standard of excellence in training.

Question 2

What can I expect from a typical class?

The beginning of the class is devoted to warm ups, flexibility and cardiovascular training. This utilizes some of the TaeKwonDo movements. The class sometimes includes obstacles and drills as part of the warm up. Time is also spent on specific techniques of TaeKwonDo. Personal safety classes are taught on a regular basis.

Question 3

How do I advance to the next level?

The belt advancement is based on individual mastery of the skills and belt level. Each student is evaluated on performance of forms, one steps, board breaking, kicks and Korean terminology. Promotional testing is held monthly for those eligible students.

Question 4

Is one martial arts style better than any other? How do I choose?

All martial arts styles offer great benefits to their students. No one stands out as better than the other. It is a important component to find a martial arts school where you feel comfortable about your training and where you see yourself building a relationship and being involved for years to come. Try out a class, meet other students and parents. Visit and experience our Asian inspired martial arts center.

The Man-Son-Hing Martial Arts Academy would like to earn your trust and be the family you choose for a powerful journey of martial arts training!

Question 5

What if the best thing you ever did was enroll in martial arts?

Training in the martial arts can become a life long activity for yourself or your child. You or your child will experience learning focus, concentration, and self confidence.  Martial arts empowers you physically, mentally  and spiritually with the tools for life.
