MSH LADY DRAGONS TAKE A CHAMPIONSHIP WIN IN ORANDLO, FL The 2nd Annual Walt Disney World International Dragon Boat Races hit the waters of Lake Buena Vista on Saturday, October 17th 2009. Sixty teams from local corporate and community groups and paddlers from across the United States and Canada were vying to be the #1 Dragon Boat Team. The Tampa Bay areas very own all-womens team; The Man-Son-Hing Lady Dragons placed in Divsion A with their blistering time and won the Womens Division B competition. MSH Lady Dragons are the official 2009 "Premier Womens Divison B" Champions. Their competing time was a blistering two minutes and 36 seconds crossing the finish line, breathing fire down three competing team's throats.

The competition was a 500m race on the waters of the beautiful Lake Buena Vista, with a fully buoyed 5-lane course run with exact precision and professional equipment. The team also competed in a 2000 meter race, placing fourth overall. Congratulations to a new team that proved "teamwork" is seldom improved when we have no other model but ourselves to copy after.

The team's dedicated training paid off ranking them number #1 in the all womens B Division with a championship win. Their blazing time in this event ranked them "FOURTH" overall out of 12 womens competing teams!

Dragon Boat Competition

The Championship MSH Lady Dragon Team is on the road to competition again, looking yet to gain another championship title and bring home the Gold! Coach Chris is taking our Championship Team on the road to compete in Orlando, FL at Downtown Disney on Saturday, October 17, 2009. Each team will race in 2 or 3 heats lasting approximately 2 minutes. The course is 500 meters in a straight line with 5 lanes and each team will have 60-90 minutes in between heats. Our championship team will compete in the all women's division. We plan to have a 10x10 tent in the Athlete's Village for our team, family and fans to hang out. Man-Son-Hing Dragon Boat Training

The world's fastest growing water sport is also the most exciting. Twenty paddlers move in unison, combining strength with teamwork in a boat whose elaborate design originates in ancient China. It's all About Teamwork! A maximum of 20 paddlers, with a steersperson (cox) and a drummer.

Dragon Boat Racing is a great sport for men and women of all ages and abilities. Anyone can do it and have fun!

The 6th annual Tampa Bay International Dragon Boat Races hit the waters of the Garrison Channel on Saturday, May 2nd, 2009. Fifty one teams from local corporate and community groups and paddlers from across the United States and Canada were vying to be Tampa Bay's #1 Dragon Boat Team. The Tampa Bay areas very own all-women's team; The Man-Son-Hing Lady Dragons won the Women's Division and are the official 2009 "Women's Cup Challenge" Champions.

Their competing time was a blistering two minutes and eight seconds crossing the finish line, breathing fire down four competing team's throats. The competition was a 450m race on the waters of the Garrison Channel, with a fully buoyed 5-lane course run with exact precision and professional equipment. Congratulations to a new team that proved "teamwork" is seldom improved when we have no other model but ourselves to copy after.  The teams dedicated training paid off ranking them number #1 in the all women's division with a championship win. Their blazing time in this event ranked them 36 out of 51 competing boats with co-ed teams!

The team owner, Christopher Man-Son-Hing, is training his all-women's team for the 2010 dragon boat competition where they will defend their title as 2009 champions. The big event, the 2011 Worlds Dragon Boat Racing Competition playing host to 60 competing countries, will be right here in Tampa. The dragon boat races will be held in the beautiful Garrison Channel.
